24-0 Panthers -- no that's not a misprint

Carolina is absolutely shocking the New York Giants here in New Jersey. The Panthers scored on their first four possessions - the latest a two-yard TD pass from Matt Moore to tight end Jeff King.

(UPDATE: Carolina finally didn't score on possession No.5, offering up its first punt of the game. The Giants got the ball one last time, couldn't get it in the end zone, either, and so it's 24-0, Carolina, at halftime. The Panthers have caused three first-half turnovers. Let's just say that video tribute to Giants Stadium at halftime isn't going over that well right now -- the fans aren't in the mood).

The Panthers' third TD was set up when cornerback Richard Marshall jumped on a slant route and intercepted Eli Manning. That gave Carolina the ball on the Giants' 29. The Panthers converted a third-and-11 with a short pass to Mike Goodson, then soon thereafter were in the end zone again.

Weird, isn't it?

Where was this Panther team for the past 3 months?

Humm is this a trick question....Or do we actually know some of the answer?

I tell you where the Panther team was...behind the 8 ball with Jake. I'm not a Jake hater, but I do think this team didn't put itself in the best position to win - should have pulled Jake after the Buffalo game. We could have seen this type of improvement and hope in mid season when we still had a chance instead of now when it doesn't count.

So Scott, will you man up today and ask John Fox after another stellar performance by Matt Moore against a real tough defense, did Jake really give us the best chance to win in all of those earlier games?

And to answer your question, this team was sitting on the bench in those earlier games.

What a difference in this team now that Jake is gone.

Fox screwed us big time by keeping Jake in so long.

Get rid of Fox and Jake and look, you have a great team.

Okay you Delhomme backers, Moore is an average quarterback at best. Not the answer and not the starter but we are kicking some Giant tail 24-0. Just imagine how great we could be with a "starter quarterback". Fox would still say Jake is the answer. If Jake would have been benched earlier we would be in the play offs. Panthers have tons of talent and today shows how deep that talent is.

Fox may have screwed up by not benching Jake earlier, but he is doing a great job pumping the team up in a meaningless game for us.

Where was this team the past 3 months? Seriously? We were watching Fox play psycho therapist for Jake. And as far as Fox "pumping up the team for a meaningless game" is crap. These players are like wild animals that are finally getting a chance to get out of their cage. They have spent an entire season having to sacrifice themselves for two people Jake and Fox. They really want to show family, friends and fans what they can do and are now being given a chance with Moore.

Dick's is having a sale Delhomme jersys 90% off.

This shows the problem with the team was Jake. Sorry to say it, he seems like a nice guy, certainly very generous with his time in the community. But he stinks.

I appreciate the team has not quit and Fox does get credit for that. But he also takes the blame for staying with Jake and for that he deserves to be fired
